MANSEHRA, Nov 18 — In a breakthrough that could redefine Pakistan’s mineral economy and deepen its strategic ties with the United States, a historic partnership has been finalized between Pakistan’s Himalayan Earth Exploration (HEE) and U.S.-based Nova Minerals Limited marking one of the most significant cross-border collaborations in the country’s mining sector.
The agreement, announced during HEE Chairman Hanif Gohar’s visit to his hometown Dhodial, is being hailed as a major step toward unlocking Pakistan’s vast reserves of critical minerals the same minerals powering the global race for semiconductors, electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and next-gen technologies.
A Game-Changing Partnership for a New Era
Speaking to reporters, Hanif Gohar a prominent businessman and Chairman of both Air Karachi and Himalayan Earth Exploration said the pact between HEE and Nova Minerals (NASDAQ/ASX/FRA: NVA) will transform Pakistan into a key player in the international mineral supply chain while boosting U.S.–Pakistan economic cooperation.
Under the agreement, the two companies will represent each other’s commercial interests in both countries — a rare level of strategic alignment that includes:
- High tech manufacturing
- Semiconductor and energy transition materials
- Rare Earth Elements (REEs)
- Technology exchange and R&D partnerships
- Large scale exploration and sustainable mineral development
“This collaboration will open new doors for investment, skilled jobs, and value-added mineral processing in Pakistan,” Gohar said, emphasizing Pakistan’s untapped reserves of critical minerals and rare earths.
U.S. Confidence in Pakistan’s Mineral Future
Nova Minerals CEO Christopher Gerteisen, who accompanied the visiting delegation, expressed strong optimism about the long term partnership.
He thanked local communities for their warm reception and affirmed that the company sees “enormous potential” in Pakistan’s mineral rich geography.
Building a Modern Mining Ecosystem
HEE Director/CEO Liaquat Ali Sultan and Director Jabar Khan highlighted the partnership’s emphasis on:
- Advanced mining technologies
- Innovation driven exploration
- Capacity building and workforce training
- Sustainable, environmentally responsible practices
HEE a subsidiary of Chinar and Gohar Groups is already spearheading significant projects, including:
- A 35 sq km placer gold exploration region
- A massive 111 km mineral corridor in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Meanwhile, Nova Minerals continues to advance its 514 sq km Estelle Project in Alaska’s Tintina Gold Belt, known for major gold and antimony prospects.
