Islamabad, November 6, 2025 – Pakistani forces responded decisively after Taliban elements breached the long-standing ceasefire along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. According to official sources from the Pakistan Army, troops swiftly returned fire, neutralizing hostile positions and ensuring the security of border outposts.
The Pakistani military emphasized that its actions were strictly in self-defense following unprovoked attacks by militant elements operating from Afghan territory. The Army confirmed that all operations were precisely targeted, with the primary objective of restoring peace and deterring further violations.
Reports from Afghan media, including TOLO News, claimed that Pakistan launched mortar strikes twice in Spin Boldak, Kandahar. However, Pakistan maintains that its forces acted solely in response to ceasefire violations, and no Afghan national forces were engaged. Taliban forces reportedly did not retaliate, remaining committed to the ceasefire.
